A seven day workshop on communications for formators was inaugurated on 17th April at Nobi communications, Bangalore. The program is the first in a series of nine workshops organized by the Catholic Bishops Conference of India to promote media and communications into the pastoral ministry of the Church. The workshop was inaugurated by Mr. Anil Pinto, from the deaprtment of media studies, Christ University, Bangalore. There are 15 participants from different parts of the country. Fr. George Plathottam sdb, the executive secretary, CBCI Commission for social communications and Rev. Fr. Jose Murickan O. Praem, the National Coordinator for formation in Social Communications are the chief organizers of the program.
Nobi communications is the media apostolate of the Norbertine Fathers, Canonry of Mananthavady.

Nobi Communications
Nobi Communications' first training program on communications and media was inaugurated on 26 April 2009 by Rev. Adv. Antony Koottungal O.Praem, member miagistrate , Juvenile Justice Board, Government of Karnataka. This one-week course is to empower the participants to integrate communications and media into the formation as well as pastoral ministry of the Church. The first batch consists of 20 participants from different dioceses and religious congregations in India. Nobi Communications is the media apostolate of the Norbertine Fathers from the Canonry of Mananthvady and is headed by Rev. Dr. Jose Murickan O.Praem.
